Lady Valiants debut album was recorded at Big Sister Studios in Cairns, Australia. The album was written by founding members Marty Brown & Glenna Lynes. Gathering inspiration from rural childhoods, teenage exploits and world travels particularly in the Deep South U.S.A, the duo poured their tales into the album tracks and ended up with Backroads, a reference to their travels through the Mississippi Delta.
